Combining several images into one
Taking a few separate screenshots and then wanting them as a single image is a common situation: stacking the steps of a how-to vertically, placing before-and-after photos side by side, laying out product shots as a strip. This tool takes several image files and writes out one image with them joined horizontally or vertically.
Besides the direction, you can set the gap between images and the background colour. A gap of zero joins them flush; a small gap makes the boundaries easier to read. The background colour also fills the padding that appears when the images are not all the same size. You can select several files at once, add more later, or clear everything and start again.
The merge runs on a canvas inside your browser, so no image is uploaded. Download the result directly when it looks right. Since there is nothing to install and no account to create, it also works well for combining a few photos straight from a phone.

- There is no fixed limit, though merging a large number of very large images can run into your browser's memory ceiling.
- What happens with images of different sizes?
- Joining horizontally pads the height, joining vertically pads the width. That padding is filled with the background colour you choose.
- Can I reorder the images?
- They are placed in the order you selected them. To change the order, clear the list and pick the files again in the order you want.
- Are my images uploaded?
- No. Merging happens entirely in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
